How do you know if cheese is gluten-free?
Dairy-free cheese may not be gluten-free. Some dairy-free cheeses are made with flour, so read the ingredients label before eating dairy-free cheese. String cheese or cheese sticks are usually gluten-free. Cheese powder is usually gluten-free but check the label.
Are dairy products gluten-free?
Dairy foods such as milk, most yogurts and most cheeses are naturally gluten-free foods, as are dairy ingredients, such as whey protein. Some dairy-based foods – foods where milk or dairy is not the only component (i.e., certain cheese spreads, frozen desserts, etc.)

If cheese contains any type of add-in, such as wheat starch or modified food starch, it may also contain gluten. The ingredients in different brands of American cheese, cottage cheese, queso, and ricotta cheese vary. Some of these contain gluten, and others do not.
Is Kraft cheese powder gluten free?
Yes, the Kraft cheese powder is gluten-free. I have a list of the ingredients at home and can give it to you later but I use it with gluten-free pasta and it’s great.
Are mozzarella cheese sticks gluten free?
Mozzarella sticks are not gluten-free (unless specified on the label) because they are coated in breadcrumbs. Additionally, mozzarella sticks from a restaurant are likely to be fried in the same oil used for gluten-containing foods.
