How much of Earth’s water is freshwater?
3%
3% of the earth’s water is fresh. 2.5% of the earth’s fresh water is unavailable: locked up in glaciers, polar ice caps, atmosphere, and soil; highly polluted; or lies too far under the earth’s surface to be extracted at an affordable cost. 0.5% of the earth’s water is available fresh water.
Is the water on Earth the same water?
The water on our Earth today is the same water that’s been here for nearly 5 billion years. The only thing that changes is the form that water takes as it travels through the water cycle. As water on the surface of lakes, oceans, and rivers warms up, it travels into the atmosphere as vapour.
Does purewater exist?
Pure water does not exist in nature. Water is the universal solvent. Even as it falls to earth as rain it picks up particles and minerals in the air. Most water will contain certain ions, such as calcium and magnesium, even if it is just a trace amount.
Where is Earth’s water found?
oceans
Earth’s water is (almost) everywhere: above the Earth in the air and clouds, on the surface of the Earth in rivers, oceans, ice, plants, in living organisms, and inside the Earth in the top few miles of the ground.
Why is only 1% of the earth’s water available to us?
Over 97 percent of the earth’s water is found in the oceans as salt water. Two percent of the earth’s water is stored as fresh water in glaciers, ice caps, and snowy mountain ranges. That leaves only one percent of the earth’s water available to us for our daily water supply needs.
Where is the purest water on Earth?
While there are a few places that boast extremely clean water, such as Canada, Iceland, Antarctica, or even Upstate New York, the team of scientists determined that the cleanest water in the world was in the Patagonia region of Chile, Puerto Williams.
Where is the freshest water in the world?
Over 68 percent of the fresh water on Earth is found in icecaps and glaciers, and just over 30 percent is found in ground water. Only about 0.3 percent of our fresh water is found in the surface water of lakes, rivers, and swamps.

How much longer will the world survive?
By that point, all life on Earth will be extinct. The most probable fate of the planet is absorption by the Sun in about 7.5 billion years, after the star has entered the red giant phase and expanded beyond the planet’s current orbit.
Can you drink 100 percent pure water?
Many people tend to imagine that purity is the ultimate indicator of the quality of water. However, 100% ultra pure water is not good for our health because water (H2O) purely comprised of hydrogen and oxygen does not provide our body with the natural electrolytes and salts that we need to survive.
Is distilled water pure H2O?
Put simply, distilled water is created through a process known as distillation. In this process, basically the pure H2O is boiled out of its contaminants. The contaminants are removed, leaving the water essentially purified for drinking. Distilled water contains no bacteria and a very small amount of contaminants.
Where does energy H20 come from?
Energy H20 is 100% natural and drawn from one of Earth’s purest aquifers. Our water has a natural pH level and an optimal amount of calcium, selenium, magnesium, zinc, and many more essential minerals.
