Stargirl is short, sweet, and it makes you look at the world in a whole new way. Everyone should read this book. I love books, and I have a LOT of “favourites”. But if you ask me to name one book that is the absolute best, most recommended for ANYONE to read, I say, “Stargirl.”
Why is Stargirl a good book?
A bittersweet paean to eccentricity and nonconformity, it is also a scathing commentary on teenagers, which makes its popularity with them all the more interesting. The main character doesn’t have the courage to stand up to his peers, who behave abominably to a girl who is different.
