What is FAPI in LTE?
The 5G femto application platform interface (5G FAPI, or simply FAPI) published by the Small Cell Forum (SCF) is a suite of specifications that enable small cells to be built up piece-by-piece using components from different suppliers. 5G new radio (NR) is optimized for different use cases than today’s 4G LTE.
What is FAPI and nFAPI?
FAPI helps equipment vendors to mix PHY & MAC Software from different suppliers via this open FAPI interface. So, FAPI is an “internal” interface. On the other hand, nFAPI is a “network” interface and is between a Distributed Unit (DU) and Centralized Unit (CU) of a Split RAN/SC network solution.
What is FAPI telecom?
FAPI is a common standard agreed between chipset and component suppliers and mobile base station integrators. It is an API for hardware components implementing 3GPP physical layer functions and “software stacks” implementing higher layers.
What is FAPI compliance?
FAPI compliance Baseline — Intended for applications that need access tokens and / or OpenID Connect login and where moderate security is sufficient. Advanced — For applications that demand the highest OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect security, such as applications that perform financial transactions.
What is MAC scheduler LTE?
Today we look into an essential component of the LTE radio network: the MAC Scheduler. Sitting just above the Physical layer, the MAC Scheduler assigns bandwidth resources to user equipment and is responsible for deciding on how uplink and downlink channels are used by the eNodeB and the UEs of a cell.
What is FAPI in Canada?
Foreign Accrual Property Income, or FAPI, are a set of rules in the Income Tax Act (the “ITA”) that treats property income the same as if accrued domestically or abroad. The income is taxed in Canada as if it was earned directly. This eliminates any tax deferral advantage in investing offshore.
What is OAuth client?
Overview. OAuth 2.0 is an open-standard framework and specification for authorizing client applications to access online resources. Authorization works by requiring a client to obtain an access token from a server that in turn grants the client access to specific protected resources.
How does LTE scheduling work?
What is a LTE Scheduler? Scheduling is a process through which eNodeB decides which UEs should be given resources (RBs), how much resource (RBs) should be given to send or receive data . In LTE, scheduling is done at per subframe basis i.e. every 1 mili second.
What is semi persistent scheduling LTE?
The semi-persistent scheduling is a feature that significantly reduces control channel overhead for applications that require persistent radio resource allocations, such as VoIP. In LTE, both downlink and uplink radio resources are fully scheduled since downlink and uplink traffic channels are shared channels.
How is FAPI taxed in Canada?
The income is taxed in Canada as if it was earned directly. The FAPI rules only apply to passive income held in a corporation (which is a controlled foreign affiliate) off-shore. They do not apply to active business income earned by a corporation off-shore or to a corporation that is not a controlled foreign affiliate.
Are dividends FAPI?
There are even some types of income that are specifically excluded from FAPI, such as taxable dividends paid from foreign affiliates generating ABI.
Who owns OAuth?
OAuth started around November 2006, while Blaine Cook was working on the Twitter OpenID implementation. He got in touch with Chris Messina looking for a way to use OpenID together with the Twitter API to delegate authentication.
What is financial-grade API (FAPI)?
Introduction to Financial-grade API (FAPI) Financial-grade API (FAPI) is an industry-led specification of JSON data schemas, security and privacy protocols to support use cases for commercial and investment banking accounts as well as insurance and credit card accounts. FinTech developers can accelerate Secure Open Banking, for example:
What is highphy FAPI?
PHY FAPI is the main API for FAPI, defining P5 and P7 interfaces for user and control plane into the PHY. Its typical application is between a PHY layer System on a Chip and the software stack for MAC and higher layer protocols. It can also be used to enable Embedded NIC Inline Accelerators for the High-PHY function in an O-RAN DU.
What are the different versions of the FAPI specifications?
The OpenID Foundation currently supports certification for two different versions of the FAPI specifications: FAPI Part 2 Read/Write Implementers Draft 2 (often written FAPIRWID2 or similar), as published October 2018. FAPI 1.0 Part 2 Advanced Final, as published March 2021.
What does FAPI stand for?
This document is an evolution of the femto application platform interface (FAPI) initiative to encourage competition and innovation between suppliers of platform hardware, platform software and application software by providing a common API around which suppliers of each component can compete.
