What is the difference between a singer and a listener?
Singers is the name of the species but also refers to those who still have access to the forms of powers. The Listeners are the remnant of a legion of Singers who’ve left behind the forms of power and the rule of the Fused and chose to live life in dull form to be free from Odium.
What is a listener Stormlight?
Listeners, called Parshendi by the Alethi, are either a group or ethnicity of singers on Roshar.* Once, there had been hundreds of thousands of listeners scattered across the Shattered Plains. Now a fraction remained. Even then, the listeners had been a united people.
What is a Thunderclast?
Thunderclasts are enormous stone beasts, easily five or six times larger than a person, with their hands alone being six feet long. They take a skeletal, humanoid form, with long limbs that end with spiky, clawed fingers. On their chests, they have rib-like protrusions, and there are ridges running along their backs.

Singers can bond various spren which change their forms. Singers predate the humans as inhabitants of Roshar. Around the time of the Recreance, many of the singers had their Connection and Identity stolen, pieces of their souls ripped away.

Parshmen are a form of Parshendi, common to the whole of Roshar and used as slaves and servants. They are thick-witted, but make excellent workers. They are docile and practically mute.

Are the Parshendi black?
