What nipples can you use on Enfamil?

Standard Flow nipples are our medium flow nipples which are a good starting off place for most infants. They will fit most bottles with standard or classic size bottle openings, including our Nursette bottles, Enfamil plastic bottles, Enfamil Grad-U-Feed nursers, Mead Johnson Cleft lip/Palate Nursers, and Snappies.

Sanitizing and reusing is ok, but after 1 or 2 sanitizing runs they start to warp as the plastic is cheaply made and meant to be disposable, so I wouldn’t recommend using the same one more than a couple times. Good news is you can buy large packs of those nipples on Amazon for fairly cheap.

To clean baby nipples, scrub them in hot, soapy water, then rinse. You can also boil the nipples for 5 minutes in water to sterilize them. But simple hot water and soap should be enough to get them clean.

These are supposed to be disposable but I reuse them and sterilize them in steam. They get softer and the bottom rubber cracked off once because I sterilized it too many times. So I try not to use them more than 2 weeks now. They came in the mail quickly after I placed my order too.

The key signs baby needs a faster flow teats are:

  1. Reduction in the amount baby is feeding at each feed.
  2. Wanting more bottles during the day.
  3. Going less time between feeds.
  4. Waking in the night.
  5. Making lots of noise during feeds.

Can slow flow nipples cause gas?

Sometimes slow-flow nipples can cause babies to take in extra air during feedings, which causes gas. Try a more vented nipple to allow more air to release. Make sure your baby has a good latch when bottle feeding to reduce gas later on.
