Why is my window unit blowing water out the vent?
An air conditioner will blow out water if there’s a problem with the condensation drain. The water comes from the Freon coils in your AC unit. Once the coils start sweating, this water collects in a pan to drain out through the vents. If the drain isn’t working, the water blows out instead.
How do you fix condensation in AC vents?
Try to reduce the humidity level in the air near the air ducts. You can go for a dehumidifier if that helps to reduce the condensation. Unblock any ducts that are restricting airflow and have them cleaned regularly. Regularly clean your air filters and change them once every three months.
Why is my window air conditioner not level?
If water is dripping out the front panel, then the pan is not sloping correctly toward the back of the unit. To correct the problem, ensure that your air conditioner is level on the window sill.
Why is water coming out of my window air conditioner?
Improper Slope: Wall and window air conditioners are installed with a slight slope to the outside so that water will flow that way. If the unit slopes toward the inside because of improper installation or shifting, water can collect in the front of the drain pan and spill over. Check the slope with a level, and correct it if necessary.
Where does the condensation go in a window air conditioner?
The cooled air is blown back into the room, while the moisture becomes the condensate that drains out via the exterior part of the window air conditioner. The hot refrigerant cycles through the coils at the back of the AC unit where a blower cools it down.
Why is my air conditioner not working in cold weather?
Air conditioners aren’t meant to be used in cold weather. Generally, if you use your air conditioner when the outside temperature is below 62 degrees Fahrenheit, the coils are likely to freeze. Other mechanical problems are responsible. For example, the blower fan might not be working properly.

Why is water not draining out of my window air conditioner?
Many (but not all) window air conditioners have a drain hole in the back to let condensate water drain outdoors. If the drain hole is clogged, clean the base of unit and clear the clog in the drain hole. The back of the air conditioner should be slightly lower than the front so condensate water drains outdoor.
